未来の根 - Roots of the future

This piece is inspired by our journeys, two artists from different cultures, countries and backgrounds, coming together at Tokyo University of the Arts for a brief time, before we move onto an unknown future.

We have our own strong roots planted somewhere, holding us down, but when they meet at the centre they create a new starting point.The flower petals blowing in the wind symbolize the beauty and uncertainty of what the future holds for us.

The base shape is inspired by a Yukata, a Japanese traditional piece of clothing, to represent the place where our two cultures meet.
